About Us
We all know that being creative is important, but it’s not always easy to find the time. Before I started BonaFide Kit Company, I was a busy mom who felt like like there was never enough time in the day. Even though I had a degree in fine art, the busyness of life left me feeling depleted, and out of touch with my former creative self. I'd think of something to create, but wouldn’t know where to start, or where to find the time. I tried some art kits, but the results were too “crafty” looking for me to actually want to show off. They ended up in the back of a drawer, never to see the light of day. It was at that time that I first saw a Chan Luu wrap bracelet. I loved how simple and elegant it was, and decided I had to make one myself! I learned the technique, but was frustrated with how to hold the cords in place, and with the inconsistent results. I needed a better way. Since I couldn’t find a tool to help, I decided to make my own loom, and voila! TruLoom was born. In the years since, I have made countless projects on my TruLoom, including plenty of different types of bracelets! Since saving time is important to me, I have developed it with expedience and consistency in mind. It’s also versatile, in that you can make many types of wrap, weave and macrame bracelets. Our refill kits are made for busy people who want to spend their time making a bracelet that they are excited about, and proud to wear. The kits contain high quality materials, including semiprecious stones and glass. I specifically chose the beads, cord and thread so you can combine them however you wish, and they will always look great. They are also a good value, compared to the price of shopping for individual components. Since they include what you need, there’s no more buying and storing partly used spools of cord and half strands of beads! Our goal here at BonaFide Kit Company is to make the skill of beading beautiful jewelry accessible to everyone; teens, AND adults. So, go ahead, flex your creative mind, be true to you, have fun and show off what you made! I can’t wait to see it too! Happy Beading! Anita |
